When to Claim

As your trusted professional broker it would always be prudent to contact our office to discuss your claim if there are any questions before you actually make a claim.

Of course we know it is not always possible to speak to someone in our office, so we encourage you to call your Insurance companies 24 hr Claims Line and you will be able to speak to a claims representative. They will be able to take your statement, make arrangements for an adjuster/appraiser to view your damages, provide a rental vehicle where coverage is applicable, arrange for tow trucks, lock smiths, contractors etc. to assist you to get you back to where you were prior to your loss.

It is important in a vehicle accident that you collect the third parties name, address, phone numbers, insurance company and policy number so that your insurance company has all of the third parties information.

If you feel your automobile damage is over $2000 you must go to a Police Station to file a Collision Report Form and note the file number the Police have assigned. The Police will provide a damage sticker.

It is also important to note the date, time, and place of accident or loss and if you can take any photos of the damages.
